Description
The IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact 4.0 is a five-day course designed for the system administrator responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the Netcool/Impact product.
The course takes students through practical exercises, teaching both common policies in use and covering key development concepts. After covering some introductory material, the class focuses on learning a new concept and applying that concept in a policy building lab. Each lab progressively builds upon previous labs, offering the students the opportunity to input policies and to debug and explore how each policy works. A Netcool/OMNIbus and sample relational database installation is available in class to use with the Netcool/Impact product.

Audience
Network and systems management developers/engineers who are required to install, configure, maintain or support a Netcool/Impact system for the purposes of integration or advanced correlation.
